How do I mount a plaque to the wall?

This is the exciting part! Getting your gorgeous piece into place on your wall or door ๐Ÿ™‚

Before you remove your piece from the backing board, just bear in mind that the acrylic mirror is beautiful but also fragile. Please handle the acrylic products with care. Before putting the acrylic mirror on your chosen surface, please undo all twist ties that fasten your mirror to the backing board. Leaving even one twist tie connected could cause your mirror to snap when being lifted off the backing board. When holding your acrylic piece, please hold by the thickest parts of the product.

When you are mounting the plaque on the wall, just make sure that the surface of the wall is clean and dry. Then fasten it to the clean, dry surface with your choice of adhesive. Many of our customers have great success using quality Command 3M Mounting strips – the velcro style, which can be cut to size if needed. Alternatively, you may wish to use an adequate amount of Blue-Tack (though please ensure you spread this across all of the letters).

Take care not to place too much pressure on any one part of the piece when you’re placing it on the wall and when you’re using either method to mount the plaque, just make sure that your piece is totally secure before walking away).

Hope that helps and that you love the final result!

Why is my mirrored plaque dull?

Don’t worry! We can totally help you with this. That dull surface is definitely not the end result – we promise ๐Ÿ™‚

Your purchase will have arrived with a sticker
We leave the protective coating on to protect the surface as it travels through the post to you, so it arrives in the best possible condition.

Just a slight scratch with your fingernail, on the edge, should allow you to start peeling it off to reveal the lovely, shiny mirrored acrylic you’ve been expecting.

The mirrored acrylic is indeed fragile – so please be super careful as you remove the film – as bending or mishandling may damage your piece.

And please don’t feel alone!
Others have been in the same situation and we totally understand your concerns. We’re confident once you peel back that film, you’ll love the finished product.

What size do you recommend for my wall plaque?

This is because it’s a little tricky for us to give advice about this, because sizing really is your own personal preference and what might be large enough in our eyes, may not be to you.

What we usually recommend is to physically pull out a tape measure, or cut out a sheet of paper and place it on your wall/area where the piece will be displayed. Using a piece of paper on the wall, really gives a great idea of how much space you’d ideally like to fill.

Once you have that info, it’s a little bit easier for you to find a product to match. Once you have a rough idea of the length or height of the piece you’re wanting, we’re happy to help guide you to the right product to order directly online ๐Ÿ™‚ Feel free to send our Customer Care Team a message.

How might my product differ from what I see online?

Great question!

We do take care to ensure that the images and descriptions of our products are accurate.

We canโ€™t, however, be liable for differences in colour or appearance that may be attributed to variations in calibration of your computer monitor or handheld device as compared to the printed colour of our products. Because of this, actual products may vary slightly in colour from those shown on your monitor. We just can’t guarantee the identical match of these colours because we don’t know what setting you have on your device.

In addition to this, because our items are handmade, they may differ slightly from product to product. Any variation that may exist in colour, grain, appearance or otherwise, is not considered a fault and is instead reflective of the uniqueness of each item.

For our seasonal products such as our popular CNY flower wreath, the flowers may differ year to year due to the production of our supplier. We will try our best to ensure the products is as similar to product photo as much as possible.
